Updated: Books I have read…

7 05 2008

I have now updated my page on Books I have read – see the link in the top-right corner with more recommendations and non-recommendations. Let me know if you have read any of the books and what you thought of them!

Marianne in Cairo has made a separate blog for her book recommendations, only in Swedish though. I enjoy reading what other people read as I keep a shopping list of books in my agenda, and add the titles of books that look interesting from recommendations in articles, blogs etc.

I am currently reading two three books: Kristin Lavransdotter by Sigrid Undset – a Norwegian (looong) novel about a woman living in the 1300’s and Barack Obama’s Dreams from my father. Two very different books but very good and interesting in different ways! I have just started Barack’s book and have only read up to his experiences as an expat child in Indonesia, fascinating! I just remembered that I am actually also reading a 3rd book – my first novel in Spanish; Como agua para chocolate by Laura Esquivel. The author is Mexican and there are lots of words that not even O nor my teacher know! It was made into a film called Like water for chocolate in English (1992).

Happy reading!
