The blog community is great!
For the second year running my blog friend Emma in Aberdeen has been organising a Christmas present exchange between Swedish bloggers. I got my present a couple of days ago but forgot to blog about it.
Thank you so much, dear Marianne for the very generous present – I love Laila’s cook books! My Christmas present for a blogger won’t be delivered until after Christmas… but hopefully she can wait another week or so.
I realised that I never wrote about my remaining two “blind dates” with bloggers. Cosmopolitan-Mirtha and I spent almost a whole Sunday together last month – first having brunch in a small bakery (where we are going this afternoon with my classmate J and his wife), then a quick fika at home before heading to the Swedish Church’s Christmas bazar. Mirtha got to meet random friends of ours, drink glögg, see the Swedish Commissioner and she even won the second prize in the tombola! Hopefully we can meet up next summer, after all she doesn’t live that far away from Skåne (in Blekinge).
And thanks to a new great blog acquaintance, Brysselkakan who of course lives here in Brussels, we are bringing home 3 kilos of Belgian chocolates for Christmas! Brysselkakan and I have met up for lunch a couple of times and the second time she brought the chocolates that I had ordered. She and a friend had generously offered to be the chocolate tasters and buyers for a group of friends and after having taken up orders, they went to the Neuhaus chocolate factory outlet a few weeks ago. You can see here how Brysselkakan’s husband very professionally divided all the chocolate that they had bought.
And all of this thanks to the wonderful blog community!
