Retro is very in at the moment, and I love it. One of my favourite homes, together with my father’s uncle’s home in Switzerland, is the old summerhouse that my maternal grandparents built in the 1950’s. Here are some photos of the living room plus retro views from Åhus:
You can see the sea from the big windows. The piece of drift wood hanging from the ceiling looks just like a fish! It actually fell down once but my aunt (?) managed to glue it together again. The curtains are kind of new, they used to hang in my aunt’s living room but they fit really well in the summer house.
If you have an ocean view, you need a pair of binoculars to see what is going on out on the water… The strawberry coasters (a Marshalls bargain) were a present for my grandmother which match an oven glove I gave her for Xmas. NB The small glass jar with amber from the beach
I wonder where the coffee cups come from, they have a typical Skåne view printed on them. O and I were offered to take care of an old set of china from Rörstrands (not in the photo) that was my grandparents’ first china when they got married. We will pick it up next time we go to Sweden.
