Once again it’s been a while since I published a post, time flies and I can’t believe that I have already been working for one month! It’s been a nice month, both with travelling and getting back into the swing of professional life ;-) Summer’s back in Brussels and I seem to have developed a slight allergy (hay fever?) for the first time in my life – apparently you are never too old to become allergic!
O is at Ikea with our Greek friend Y, we spent quite a few hours there on Saturday checking furniture for our new place… No, we still haven’t bought a home but Y is going to become our new landlord, renting his newly renovated studio apartment to us for a few months! It will be quite a change living in ~40 m2 instead of 180 m2 (in Puerto Rico) but the apartment-hotel apartment is not much bigger so we are already used to something smaller. The great thing about the studio / flat is that it has a huge roof top terrace that we are hoping to use a lot this summer. Sweet Y is actually going to more or less furnish the whole apartment for us so we were helping him pick out the furniture in Ikea!
So while O is spending the Monday evening at Ikea, I am starting to plan the October holidays! Maybe a little bit early, but we are coordinating with a big group of friends to rent beach-side villas for a week. The destination is Cyprus where we will be attending a three-day long Swedish-Cypriot wedding! We definitely can’t complain about the destinations that we are “forced” to discover because of friends’ weddings. Past weddings have taken me to the north of Sweden, Copenhagen in Denmark, Asturias and Zaragoza in Spain, Strasbourg, the Loire valley and Aix-en-Provence in France, Florence and the Garda lake in Italy, Antwerp in Belgium, Riga in Latvia, Essex in England… you could say it’s a way of travelling!
And speaking of travelling, the Normandie weekend should be written up shortly and coming to a blog near you…
Have a good June week!
