Some more photos from our Midsummer weekend in Skåne:
We went for a small excursion on Midsummer day (Saturday), driving south towards Brösarp’s hills, Vitemölla and Kivik. Vitemölla is less touristy than Kivik but with the same kind of beautiful old houses and a fishing harbour.
A way to keep your beverages cool on the beach, especially as the French and Greek visitors really thought that the water was ice-cold… Our Greek friend did swim in the Baltic, but while wearing a wet-suit!! What a cheater!
Walking through the forest back to the summer house and telling the foreigners about “allemansrätten” (every man’s right) which is an unwritten law giving everybody right to access the countryside in Sweden
Imagine our surprise when we visited Ikea last week and found a product called just like the small village where my parents have their summerhouse! I couldn’t resist buying some to give to the French girls as a souvenir (and reminder of the name of the place that they had problems remembering and pronuncing!)…
