Why do some people feel that they are entitled to double-parking their car? Maybe because they have a small car? A few weeks ago this Smart car was parked in front of us and a bigger (Clio?) car next to us – O had to literally BUMP the Smart car in order to get out! And that’s why you should never park with the hand break pulled in countries like Belgium, France, Spain and Italy – countries where double-parking is considered completely normal!?
Why does it say “Without salt” on some packages of minced meat in Belgium? Probably because the “normal” packages have salt added! I thought that minced meat was minced meat and nothing else? How is it in other countries, is the minced meat full of added stuff?
Why do the “No ads”-signs not work – our letter box gets jampacked with ad brochures all the time!
How could somebody have missed that there was a general strike in Belgium last Friday and stood waiting for a tram that would never come…
Why are Belgian prisons built like medieval English castles?
Why do not more people share their admiration for Elvis with their neighbours?
Why are there no early spring flowers like snow drops and crocuses in Brussels? This is the only early spring sign I have seen – a flowering forsythia.
Who came up with the inventive (??) name for the former Hilton hotel (here you can see when the signs were put up)? But I am actually more curious about how the fish ended up on the building below…
What mysteries in life do you wonder about?
