Yesterday we met up with one of O’s colleagues and his very pregnant (1 week overdue) wife at Blomqvist’s – the Swedish espresso bar at Place St Boniface.
I am a sucker for maps, especially old ones and I would love to have this big map in my living room! My parents actually have an old school map (laminated though) of our region Skåne in their attic that I am planning to get my hands on soon!
It turned out to be a geography lesson as we sat just underneath the big map over the Nordic countries. O jumped up on the bench to show how far north we went in September 2006 (Björkliden, ~250 km north of the Polar Circle) and which Norwegian island we visited (Lofoten). I told our friends that Sweden is the 3rd largest country in Europe after Spain and France (if not counting Russia, obviously).
