When I am at home in Sweden my mornings always look the same:
Reading the morning paper while having breakfast – usually cheese sandwiches on “Lingon grova” (a type of dark bread flavoured with lingonberry – not that I can really taste the berries) or some newly baked rolls from the bakery plus a glass of Proviva and / or a mug of tea. Funnily enough I don’t usually eat sandwiches nor drink tea for breakfast when back in Brussels. Maybe because I don’t have a newspaper to read? 😉
In Brussels I usually eat yoghurt or milk with cereal and fruit or porridge with fruit, and drink water. On the weekends we always have pancakes one morning and sometimes make coffee with hot milk (caffè latte or lait russe).
On this winter morning in the summerhouse in Sweden I actually had a mix of my Swedish and my Belgian breakfast habits with sandwiches AND yoghurt / milk with cereal (in the photo just raisins but I am sure that I added some cereal to the bowl after the photo was taken)
Do you have a habit that you only do when “at home” (whatever you call home – in your home country, at your parents’ place etc) or some other place?
