Last week I realised when walking with V in the rain that 1) I need a rain coat – it’s a bit unpractical to hold an umbrella at the same time as pushing a pram 2) I need wellies / rubber boots as I won’t be walking that much in the city centre but more out in the “almost-suburbs” where it is muddier.
My parents are bringing my old Barbour wax coat when they come to Brussels next Monday. The coat is really old, the oldest piece of clothing I have actually! I think it was bought in England in 1991. And yes, you can tell that the coat is old but until I have decided that I can part with ~400 EUR* which is the approximate price of a new one, it will just have to do.
However, my father has bought a pair of very stylish (at least I think so!) wellies that will keep my feet dry while out walking and catching some fresh air this autumn! I also like that the brand is Swedish, as a matter of fact from my home region of Skåne (Helsingborg).
I can’t even recall when I had a pair of wellies last time but probably sometime in primary school!
*) my sister bought one recently…
